I will be starting this week by joining in Spiritual Communion while Fr. MacRae offers Mass in his prison cell this evening at 11:20pm EST.
The feast of the Queenship of Mary is next week. I think it would be very appropriate for us to pray the Memorare for Father's intentions for nine consecutive days, starting on Monday, August 22nd, the actual feast day and ending on August 30th, with confession, Mass and Holy Communion. If you can have Mass offered for Father Gordon, it would be greatly appreciated! After all, they are our blessed mother's priests.
Thanks Mary for letting us know about this novena!
UPDATE: Karinann has a beautiful post over at Daughter of the King for this novena for Fr. MacRae. Please join us if you are able!
Kathryn,
ReplyDeleteI was so glad to see Esther starting this novena tomorrow. Prayer is the best thing we can do for Father Gordon. I have my own post spreading the news about the novena and Mary's post going up around 8:30 tonight.
May Our Lady keep and protect him and all our priests.
God bless.
Yes, Karinann, may Our Lady keep and protect him and all our priests. Thanks for commenting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in and spreading the word around. I was glad to read about the Novena too. Prayer has greater effects than we'll ever know.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, Thanks for the comment.... BTW I know you tagged me for the patronage meme. I knew right away, but I have tag anxiety... really. It sounds silly, and I have been thinking about writing a blog post about it, but haven't gotten it together yet to do so. Thanks for tagging me.. I just don't know who to tag to continue it. Sorry I'm such a dork!
ReplyDeleteMahalo for joining in praying this novena, Kathryn and for letting others know. God bless!
ReplyDeleteThank you Esther for getting the novena started. Have a wonderful week, glad to see you stop by!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed my visit at your lovely blog, Kathryn. BTW, I forwarded the links to your blog post and Karinann's to Father Gordon. He will be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteEsther,
ReplyDeleteThanks! Hope you or Mary also forwarded Mary's blog post at The Beautiful Gate to Fr. Gordon about this novena :) God bless!
