Just so you know....

We've taken to snacking on jumbo marshmallows and chocolate chips around here. Haven't started wearing all dress clothes yet though.... just shorts with dress shirts ;)

If this makes no sense to you, then you have never needed to go to the grocery store REALLY REALLY bad and have never gotten so far behind on laundry that you aren't wearing jeans any more, but only dress clothes :)

I haven't forgotten about pictures.... must. get. pictures. off. camera. and. onto. computer.

Anyway, we are still here! And blissfully sleep deprived!! Also on a good note, I got my hair cut and we almost have the garden planted. And Michael is doing really good... It really is such a blessing to have a new little one around, and I marvel every day at the wonder of God's creation.

P.S. - The reason we are not wearing only dress clothes is because my wonderful husband has been keeping the laundry up for me.... (sigh)

  1. Oh, yes, this makes perfect sense with a newborn, Kathryn :) I'm glad to hear Michael is doing well. As for the marshmallows and chocolate chips, just ask God to bless them and you're good to go ;) Holy junkfood has fed many a family in a pinch! Hee! Hee!

  2. It's amazing how when you're a mom you think that you're the only one...

    1) who dresses the kids according to the laundry cycles (or non-cycles)

    2) who makes the case for the nutritive value of whatever remnants are in the pantry before grocery day

    3) who will laugh in the midst of a beautiful, joy-filled life that is wonderfully unpredictable

Thanks for making me smile because of our comeraderie in Christian motherhood!

Thank goodness we can laugh about it all! Although I must admit sometimes it is a laugh/cry/laugh kinda thing going on :)

  6. You post really made me smile this morning. I remember a time when my life was so similar, 4 young children, one right after the other...beauty and chaos all rolled together so splendidly. God bless you and the whole family.

By the way, I thought of you the other day when I ran across a blog called Catholic Cuisine. Maybe you already follow these talented ladies, but if not I have linked them on my sidebar. They incorporate Catholic feast days and tradition into meals, desserts, ect geared to both adults and children. I thought your young ones might enjoy some of the ideas.
